Kayaked Lake Wakatipu this weekend. Below are pictures of the kayak that I purchased on the New Zealand equivalent of Craigslist. The lake was immensely deep -- close to 500m at some points. To put that in perspective, you could place the entire empire state building in and it would be completely covered by water.
