ISO !@*)) or 12800

These photos are not here for their artistic quality. I just want to do a demo of the 50D's ISO capabilities.
These two pictures were taken in the dark at ISO 12800...uhhhh

  1. Golly gee again! 12800 <-- that is INSANE!! These are actually not that noisy for 12800, however. But is ISO 12800 ever useful?

  2. Oh, by the way, what software do you use to produce black and white photographs? I'm the same anonymous person as above (Blogspot doesn't seem to allow us to edit our comments).

  3. I never use iso 12800. in color, it's rather disgusting. In black and white you can get away with calling it artsy. I use iphoto for most editing. Now I have aperture 2 which is amazing, but i don't usually spend much time messing around with the monochrome mixers.
